Excellent opportunity to complete Degree in Health and Social Care locally at Monaghan Institute
Monaghan Institute, in continued collaboration with Letterkenny IT, are offering students the chance to complete a Level 7 Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree in Health and Social Care over two years, commencing in September, 2021. This will be the second time this successful outreach Degree programme will take place.

Learners who have completed a QQI Level 6 award in Applied Social Studies (or equivalent) or have built up a lot of experience in this area can apply through Letterkenny IT Direct Advanced Entry route to year two of the three-year Level 7 Health and Social Care Degree. Course code: LY_NHLSM_D.
The course will consist of three days’ work placement/employment in a relevant area and two days attendance at classes in Monaghan Institute. This will enable students who are in employment to remain working, if it is in a relevant field, while studying full time.
As well as a placement element each semester will cover a variety of modules over the two years including; Psychological Well-being & Health Promotion, Research Processes & Methods, Ageing & Caring, Disability Awareness, Methods & Approaches in Health & Social Care, Responding to Behaviours of Concern, Children & Families Support and Youth Work & Community Practice.
This is a very exciting opportunity for people interested in progressing in the area of Health and Social Care to gain a Level 7 Degree locally.
Anyone who is interested in pursuing this course should fill in the application form before 31st May 2021, which can be found on the Letterkenny IT website under the advanced entry/add-on course section.
