Monaghan Institute’s “EPIC” Visit
Students at Monaghan Institute recently had the opportunity to visit the EPIC museum in Dublin. Through the tour of Irelands emigration museum, students learned how emigration has affected Ireland throughout the centuries and how this has left a legacy for Irish people internationally today.
Students were fascinated by the stories of the past; and the patterns and causes of emigration that has caused the spread of the Irish population across the globe. Students were shocked to discover the many celebrities and famous figures that are of Irish decadency who are now living across the world. Students gained great insight to the Irish legacy found worldwide today and gained a greater appreciation of our history.
