Start your Hairdressing career at Monaghan Institute
The QQI Hairdressing Level 5 course at Monaghan Institute is designed for learners who are interested in acquiring a recognised qualification in hairdressing and to prepare them for employment. There will be an emphasis on practical work experience in approved hairdressing salons, where learners will have contact with clients and potential employers. Open salon days in the college’s state of the art facilities will also provide experience of the day to day running of a salon. In addition, learners will prepare for the Junior Trades exam.
This one year course provides an opportunity for leaving cert students, the unemployed, mature student or people wanting to return to work to gain the skills and qualifications required to become an effective employee in the hairdressing business. If you have a flair for hair and want to turn your passion into an earning career this is the course for you. It will provide you with the skills required to launch your career as a trainee hairdresser.
We also offers a second year training programme as a progression opportunity, where learners complete a City & Guilds Diploma in Hairdressing, along with Senior Trades.
