NEW – Special Needs Assisting with Inclusive Practice Degree at Monaghan Institute

In conjunction with ATU Donegal, Monaghan Institute is proud to launch this innovative new outreach degree programme, designed to prepare learners for a rewarding career as an inclusive Special Needs Assistant (SNA) in today’s dynamic school environment.

Working in education is both inspiring and demanding. It comes with significant responsibility, as SNAs play a vital role in supporting learners and contributing to positive, inclusive school communities. This course reflects the evolving needs of the sector, where SNAs are now key members of multi-skilled educational teams.

What Makes this Programme Different?

The course will consist of three days’ work placement/employment in a relevant area and follows a blended learning approach with classes being held online with ATU Donegal and onsite in Monaghan Institute one day a week. This will enable students who are in employment to remain working, if it is in a relevant field, while studying full time.
