He also thanked Monaghan Institute for their on-going support and commitment to this unique collaborative arrangement with DkIT.

Dr Fiona Mc Grath, Director of Monaghan Institute said that the staff at Monaghan Institute who work closely with the DkIT team in the delivery of the BB (Hons) were very proud of all the Graduates from the Monaghan class and especially of Rona’s achievement in receiving the President’s Prize for Academic Excellence.  Having highly qualified Business graduates from Monaghan available for employment in the local economy is a very valuable resource for employers in this region.

In accepting the award, Rona acknowledged that “completing the degree with a first-class award and the President’s award meant a great deal to me. It is an affirmation that whatever it is that we want in life, if we put in the effort, time, dedication, and most importantly if we truly give it a try, things will turn out fine. I hope that this achievement will inspire other students especially mature students who might be struggling to juggle between family, education, and work this is doable”.
