Monaghan Institute’s Students’ Union Hosts Successful “Care for Your Pair” Campaign

Monaghan Institute’s Students’ Union brought the college community together for their “Care for Your Pair” campaign, an event that combined warmth, community spirit, and a commitment to health awareness. The highlight of the campaign was a cosy coffee morning, which turned out to be a resounding success, raising vital funds for the Marie Keating Foundation.

The event was made even more special by the presence of the Marie Keating Mobile Unit, which visited the institute for the first time. This mobile unit provided essential information and symptom awareness guidance to both staff and students, offering a unique opportunity for everyone to learn more about health and well-being. The unit’s presence underscored the importance of early detection and education in the fight against cancer.

Participants enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the morning, including informative sessions, interactive displays, and the chance to speak directly with health professionals. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and a shared sense of purpose, as attendees sipped coffee, shared stories, and supported a cause that touches many lives.

The Students’ Union expressed their gratitude to everyone who joined and contributed to such an important cause. Their collective efforts not only raised funds but also heightened awareness about critical health issues. Together, they brewed hope and made a significant impact on the community.

The success of this event highlights the importance of community engagement and health awareness. It sets a positive example for future initiatives, demonstrating how collective efforts can lead to meaningful change. The Students’ Union looks forward to organising more events that bring the college community together and promote well-being.
