Monaghan Institute Software Development and Gaming Design Students Impress Technology Companies in the Netherlands.

Monaghan Institute Level 5 Games Design and Level 6 Software Development students are gaining great experience on their Erasmus + Work Placement mobility to Groningen, in the Netherlands. They are pictured here with their MI Coordinator Ray Quinn and ROC Friese Poort host Evert Van Leersum.

The students are working on a variety of projects within their companies and learning professional development alongside the practical software skills. Working in teams within the companies the 2 week trip has proven successful with the host companies requesting the students to stay in contact and enquiring if they would be available for more work placement in the future.

 

Ati Tahk is working for VuurwerkPos developing an Arduino solution for Bluetooth connectivity from Dairy farm milking parlours to software solutions on Android and Iphone apps.

 

Alexsandrs Laivins is working for BeeProger as a project developer using Laravel PHP Framework for software solutions.

 

Nathan McGonnell is working for ViaICT as a solutions provider for multi operating system platforms using Linux server and Raspberry Pi for companies who aim to migrate to Open source solutions to meet their business needs.

 

Colin Byrne is working for Qlic as a project developer using Bootstrap for web interface solutions and programming.

 

Fergal Winters is working for Global Textware as a solutions analyst of multi-language translation solution providers for companies who wish to offer their web services on a world-wide basis and require translation services across different nationalities.

9th February 2018 MI Students impress Technology Companies in the Netherlands
The experience has demonstrated to the host companies in the Netherlands the capabilities and skills of the Level 5 and Level 6 students in Monaghan Institute. With the students also gaining invaluable experience for industry and the confidence to know they have the skills and attitude to succeed in their future careers.
