Monaghan Institute announce the Sport & Academic Scholars 2020-2021
We are delighted to introduce you to the successful recipients of Monaghan Institute’s Sport and Academic Scholarships for the current academic year.
MI always celebrate the achievements of successful scholars with a photoshoot in our college building, however as this is not currently possible, we will celebrate each scholars achievements, by posting their image/s and biography on our social media platforms over the coming weeks. The Monaghan Institute Sports Scholarships have been awarded to recognise excellence in talented sports athletes and to encourage outstanding performance in a variety of sporting disciplines. The selection of our scholars is based on their current performance and also considers previous sporting achievements. Congratulations to this year’s Sport Scholars; Eoghan Treanor, Sharon McKenna, Jack Trainor and Ciaran Conroy, who were selected from this year’s applicants and have been awarded individual bursaries.
Monaghan Institute’s Academic Scholarships recognises the calibre of our incoming high-achieving students and are presented to first year students who achieved 400 points or more in their Leaving Certificate 2019-2020. Congratulations to this year’s Academic Scholars; Amy Monahan, Gabrielius Leonavicius, Niamh Gallagher, Reece Brady, Ciara McGuirk, Clare Sherry, Luke Campbell and Katie McQuaid, who again were selected from this year’s applicants and have been awarded individual bursaries.
