Dundalk Institute of Technology Hosts Monaghan Institute Architectural Technology and Renewable Construction Trainees

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT) recently welcomed learners from Monaghan Institute’s Architectural Technology and Renewable Construction traineeships for an engaging day of tasters and tours, highlighting the opportunities available at DKIT.

We extend our thanks to the Building Environment Team, including Denise Quigley (Head of Building Environment), Aidan Sherlock (Building Surveying), and Noel Murphy (Architectural), for their time and effort in showcasing the benefits for MI students. As a result of a recent memorandum of understanding, Monaghan Institute are collaborating on advanced entry routes with DkIT onto their Built Environment degree programmes. This will give students completing QQI Level 5 and 6 courses in Monaghan Institute the opportunity to progress to Year 2 of Level 7 and Level 8 degrees in DkIT.

Special appreciation goes to Kevin Hollingsworth, President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), for his comprehensive presentation on Building Surveying as a profession.

The event also allowed past Monaghan Institute students to reconnect with current learners, sharing their experiences and expectations when joining DKIT through our Articulate agreement pathway.
