Monaghan Institute Graduate Harvey Colleran Secures Sought After Course in Dublin City University

Harvey Colleran, a recent graduate from Monaghan Institute’s Biomedical Science course, has been successful in gaining a place at DCU to study Physical Education and Maths alongside Secondary Teaching.

Harvey states “My experience with Monaghan Institute was surprisingly enjoyable. MI did change me as a person, and for the better, it is the best thing that anyone could do to set themselves up for university”.

In the Biomedical Science course at MI learners will gain a good foundation in Biology and Chemistry in our state-of-the-art science laboratory. They will undertake modules in Microbiology, Infection Prevention and Control and Medical Terminology which are essential for work in a medical/healthcare setting. Many graduates progress from this programme to university to study Biomedical Science or other Science related courses at degree level. This course also has links to Physical Education teaching which is what Harvey was able to take advantage of to gain his place in DCU.

If you are interested in studying at Monaghan Institute, applications are still being accepted for the 2024/2025 year. View our full ranges of courses here, and take a step into your future.
