Good News Regarding Your Course Fees 

This August 2022, Monaghan Institute and CMETB announced plans to significantly reduce fees on full time courses.  This means that your course fees have been reduced to a maximum of €200. If you have a Medical Card/Social Welfare Payment, the fee will be €150.  This fee includes all course materials, exam fees, toolkits, and uniforms.

This course is intended for learners interested in a career working with young people or adults in educational settings. This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skill and competence in the theory and practice underpinning the education and care of those who present with special educational needs in post primary and community care settings.

What will you study?

The course explores a wide range of knowledge and practical skills that supports a career as a Special Needs Assistant in secondary school classrooms. Learners will study subjects that relate to human development, understanding disabilities and special needs.
