Monaghan Institute have established an advanced entry route with DkIT’s School of Business and Humanities. This means that students completing Level 5 and 6 Business Studies in Monaghan Institute may progress into Year 3 and Year 4 of a four-year L8 degree in DkIT.
;Duration
This will see students completing two years of their studies in Monaghan Institute and two years of their studies in DkIT. This programme leads to a DkIT award at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

Monaghan Institute has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Wrexham University in North Wales. At the core of this partnership is to create progression links and access routes for graduates into sought after degree programmes that are not always accessible in Ireland.

Students completing Level 5 studies in Monaghan Institute can progress to a three-year Honours degree programme at Wrexham University.

LY_VHSSM_D - ATU Donegal Bachelor Degree in Health and Social Studies
Monaghan Institute, in collaboration with ATU Donegal are offering students the chance to complete a Level 7 Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree in Health and Social Studies over two years. This is a very exciting opportunity for people interested in progressing in the area of Health and Social Studies to gain a degree locally.

Duration
This degree is completed over 2 years and will be based at Monaghan Institute leading to an ATU award at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
Entry Requirements
Learners who have completed a QQI Level 6 award in Applied Social Studies (or equivalent) or have sufficient experience in this area can apply through ATU Donegal Advanced Entry route to Year Two of the three-year Level 7 Health and Social Studies Degree (Course code: LY_VHSSM_D).
Degree Information
The course will consist of three days’ work placement/employment in a relevant area and two days attendance at classes onsite in Monaghan Institute. This will enable students who are in employment to remain working, if it is in a relevant field, while studying full time.
As well as a placement element, each semester will cover a variety of modules over the two years including;
