Liberal Arts’ Students Dig into the Past

Liberal Arts’ students at Monaghan Institute were lucky enough to have local archaeologist, Felim MacGabhann, give them an introduction to Archaeology recently. This talk is the precursor to the group travelling out to Rockcorry to experience being an archaeologist first hand with Felim in the coming weeks.

Liberal Arts includes a range of subject matter, of which Archaeology is one small part. The purpose of the course is to allow students prepare for University while undertaking studies across a range of subjects. Liberal Arts is one of the Pre-University courses offered at Monaghan Institute, which are designed for progression to degree programmes in Universities throughout Ireland and the UK. The preparation that students undertake makes the Liberal Arts course an ideal starting point for students just finishing Leaving Certificate or re-entering education in later years.
