9th March 2017 Open Day

On Thursday 9^th March, staff and students welcomed a large number of school groups, guidance counsellors, teachers, parents and the general public to our Open Day.

Our featured photograph (above) is of our Pharmacy Assistant students who were greeting visitors and showing them around the college, as part of their Customer Service training. Left to right: Laura McCabe, Pauline Maguire, Noreen Bell, Ruta Rackyte, Caoimhe McKenna.

Also visiting on Open Day were some past staff and students, as Monaghan Institute celebrates 25 years (1992-2017) of Further Education and Training.

Pictured from the Early Childhood Care & Education Department are: Left to right: Lynda Smyth, ECCE Level 6 course co-ordinator and past student of Monaghan Institute, Rose Glover, retired ECCE course co-ordinator, Ann Marie Mc Cleary, past student of Monaghan Institute and teacher in Gaelscoil Ultain, Monaghan, Concepta Connolly, ECCE Level 5 course co-ordinator.

Both Lynda & Ann Marie were taught by Rose on Level 5 & Level 6 ECCE programmes, before going on to complete the BA in Early Childhood Studies (Stranmillis University, Belfast),which was run on a part time basis in Monaghan Institute.
